Dannebrog

The Dannebrog legend says that the flag fell from the sky during the Battle of Lyndanisse as a message of God's support towards the Danes. It was not officially adopted as the national flag of the Kingdom of Denmark until 1625, but it was used as a Danish flag as early as the 14th century.

It is unknown if there was a flag to represent Denmark before the Dannebrog design.
